The Alaska trip came as a complete surprise to us! We planned it in less than a month and phew we were there!Its a heaven for a wilderness lover.It makes you so very passionate about nature.Be it the wildlife, the trees, the landscape, the mountains, the ocean……..
Some Facts That we learned during our trip:
1) The shape of Alaska looks like an old man with a beard.There are only three roads in Alaska.
2)There are no fireworks on July4th, since it is not dark enough.
3)The Bed & Breakfast where we stayed were really clean,homely, warm and informative.
4)People are very simple in Alaska.
5)In summer, there are around 20,000 people in a town while in winter it just becomes 1000.
Widlife Facts:
1)The Salmon returns to the same spot where they were born to spawn through strong smell.
2)The warm Kuroshio currents from Japan bring great influx of Salmon into the Pacific Ocean.
3)The Humpback whale takes 28days to reach the Pacific Ocean near southern California.
4)The Puffins migrate to Alaska in summer from north pole.
